Wow! The Lord was with us as we delivered the message to over 600 guests at the second annual WJMS Christmas gathering held Wednesday night, 12/16/09. The event started out with the best BBQ in the south served by the church volunteers. Then the Christmas play started.
The children lead a great wonder stick performance followed by the deaf ministry reenacting the birth of Christ. The finale was given by the drama ministry. The play was written by Connie Casey about two young people learning about the true meaning of Christmas. As they discussed the birth of Christ, the choir sang songs, while the cast acted out the birth. Then the Activities began outside the auditorium. There were inflatable bouncers, colors of faith crafts, and a special show by George Smith with feats of strength. These were for the younger children while the older students and adults were treated to TEAM IMPACT. A group of wrestlers that showed exciting feats of strength.
